#WWWWednesday: 15 December 2021

Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?

Post divider: What did you just finish reading?

Since last week I’ve managed to finish five books. Most of them were holiday romances but I also finally read The Love Hypothesis and holy wow, I am smitten with this romance! Olive and Adam 4EVER! 🥺❤️

The Naughty, the Nice and the Nanny (Holiday Brothers #1) by Willa Nash ★★★½
This little novella was a fun and quirky holiday romance with characters that had great chemistry and a story with a good dose of touching family moments. While ultimately the romance ended up being very insta-love, it didn’t feel like it initially as our H/h built up a good foundation of trust and respect through their bond with the hero’s “angel” of a daughter, Violet. RTC.

In a Holidaze by Christina Loren ★★★★☆
This was probably one of the more festive holiday romances that I’ve read in a while! It definitely gave me the cosy and happy Love Actually vibes and I wanted to join this mixed family in their yearly holiday festivities because it sounded like so much fun! Mae was a fun heroine and Andrew was a swoonworthy hero and although things got a bit cheesy towards the end, it didn’t fail to warm my heart! RTC.

Three Bells, Two Bows and One Brother’s Best Friend (Holiday Brothers #2) by Willa Nash ★★★★☆
I loved Stella and Heath! This forbidden brother’s best friend romance was fun, flirty and steamy! I thought the chemistry between Stella and Heath was sizzling! There was a bit of lying in this that made me feel uncomfortable but Heath pulled his head out of his ass in good time. Overall, a fun second book in the series and I’m glad they got their HEA! RTC.

A Partridge and A Pregnancy (Holiday Brothers #3) by Willa Nash ★★¾
This was probably my least favourite of the Holiday Brothers series. It’s not that it was badly written? I just didn’t connect with the characters or feel invested in their romance. I simply wished that they’d communicate like, y’know, adults. RTC.

The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood ★★★★★ (honestly, all the freaking stars)
I managed to write something resembling a review for this but it’s basically me gushing non-stop about how this fake-dating grumpy-sunshine romance made me an incredibly happy little panda bean. Olive and Adam have me in full-on heart-eyes mode! Their slow-burn romance was full of delightfully cheeky banter, and swoontastic squeal-worthy moments! I had such a fun time with this book, I’m so glad I finally read it and that it more than lived up to the hype for me! 🥰 RTC.

Post divider: What're you currently reading?

I’m on a romance kick and I think this is where I’ll stay for the majority of 2021! I just picked up The One Night by Meghan Quinn, a novella prequel to an upcoming release in 2022. I’m just about done with it and will be reading Window Shopping by Tessa Bailey tonight! I’m excited for some Bailey holiday goodness 😍

To be continued… Eventually!

In other unsurprising news, I still haven’t touched Warbreaker (@ 53%), Hellbound Guilds & Other Misdirections (@ 30%) 🙈… I’ll get around to finishing these eventually… LOL

Post divider: what will you read next?

Anything is possible, especially in my current mood! 😂

What’re you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading! 😍

    • It’s always tricky when it comes to novellas… I like a little bit more build up and a little less insta love and I think that’s why the second worked best for me. They’re fast reads though and definitely festive! 🙂

  1. I’ve never read a festive book but I need too. I love the cover for oh what fun and being short it could ease me into festive reads. Hope you love it. Glad you loved The Love Hypothesis, I’m definitely intrigued by it!! 👀

    • I’m glad I finally read it! If you enjoy Love Actually, I think you’ll like In a Holidaze as it gave me those same quirky and heartwarming vibes. I hope you enjoy it whenever you get around to it, Ali 🙂
