Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?

Since last week I’ve managed to read five books. I don’t know why it feels like I haven’t been reading anything but I guess compared to how much time I’m spending on gaming, it really feels like nothing! 😂
Pighearted by Alex Perry ★★★½
This was a surprisingly humorous and adventurous tale about a young boy with a heart condition and his brother, the pig, who has the heart that’s built to save him. I laughed quite a lot reading this and ultimately, it’s a feel-good story about family and how far you’d go to save someone you love! Check out my review.
Intolerable (The Phoenix Club #3) by Darcy Burke ★★★½
Cass and Ruark were such a wonderful couple! There were defo some moments where I wanted to give Ruark a good ol’ shake but I shouldn’t have worried cos Cass was such a wonderful heroine! She’s lonely, kind-hearted and although she’s hopelessly in love with Ruark, she definitely knows what she’s worth and can fight her own battles. RTC!
Once Upon A Dream by Sierra Simone ★★½ – ★★★☆☆
This is a compilation of three modern-day fairy tales with a very erotic twist. These are on the darker and more taboo side as we get: a ‘switch’ heroine in denial, an age-gap orgy at a sex club, and an unexpected stranger in a cabin in the woods during a snowstorm. While I enjoyed how the author reimagined these characters (especially the 12 Dancing Princesses!) the stories were just okay, and though the writing wasn’t terrible, nothing really stood out. RTC!
The Bastard’s Betrayal (Scandalous Scions #1) by Katee Robert ★★★★☆
I can’t believe it took me so long to finish this but I adored Rose and Dante! 😍 They are both such tough characters who were raised with blood and violence but they were so perfect together. I loved the way Dante was head over feet for Rose and I mean, I don’t blame him cos she’s a kickass mafia heiress who absolutely slays in this male-dominated world! Give me more of all of these characters, please. RTC!
Creation (Why Odin Drinks #1) by Bjørn Larssen ★★★☆☆
Ngl, when I saw that the CW said: Contains the word “ass-thetics”, I knew that I was going to be in for a fun time with this book and I wasn’t wrong! Larssen’s humour is *chefs kiss* and I loved how he imagined the beginning of creation in Midgard with Odin and his brothers Ve and Vili. I admittedly wasn’t overly familiar with this part of Norse mythology but I still enjoyed it. My review is out tomorrow!

I literally just started the first few pages of Skin of the Sea. I’m quite excited about reading this one but if I’m honest I’m also a little nervous because of the current reading mood that I’m in. I’m really having a hard time getting into books at the mo 😭 I’m hoping this could be the book to pull me out of this weird funk I’m in?! 🤞🏽
I haven’t touched Warbreaker (@ 53%), Hellbound Guilds & Other Misdirections (@ 30%) or She Who Became the Sun (@52%) 🙈… I am determined to finish these books damn it!

I think I’ll be picking up some graphic novels to read in the hopes of shaking off this weird reading mood!

What’re you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading! 😍

Katie Roberts is a romance author I always see people talking about, but I have yet to read. Jury is still out on if I would like her books or not.

Chef’s Kiss looks adorable. I could use some graphic novels right about now – I feel like it’s been awhile since I’ve read some. I hope your weird reading mood goes away soon! 🙂

I like reading mafia Romance and The Bastard’s Betrayal sounds interesting. I can relate to not being in the mood to read. I hope your current read changes that though.
