We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed with, or which book you wish you had time to read today!
Just like in last week’s update, I’ve also read very little this weekend! 🙈 But I’m about 90% of the way through Gargantis, which I started on a whim at 2AM last night when I couldn’t sleep. This is such a fast-paced and action-packed MG fantasy and it feels good to be back at Eerie-on-Sea with Herbert Lemon and Violet Parma! But once I finish this tonight I think I’ll go back to Spellbreaker!
There’s a storm brewing over Eerie-on-Sea, and the fisherfolk say a monster is the cause. Someone has woken the ancient Gargantis, who sleeps in the watery caves beneath this spooky seaside town where legends have a habit of coming to life. It seems the Gargantis is looking for something: a treasure stolen from her underwater lair. And it just might be in the Lost-and-Foundery at the Grand Nautilus Hotel, in the care of one Herbert Lemon, Lost-and-Founder. With the help of the daring Violet Parma, ever-reliable Herbie will do his best to figure out what the Gargantis wants and who stole her treasure in the first place. In a town full of suspicious, secretive characters, it could be anyone!
What are you currently reading?
So… What exactly did I get up to this weekend? …Basically nothing but playing Animal Crossing 😂 I’ve really been getting into trying out the cottage-core theme and while my island is still such a WIP and I have absolutely zero plan for it… I’m feeling good about how it’s looking so far. I’ve been testing random things (like that crescent moon lake) but still having fun with it! Also, Pascal clearly supported the Black Friday shopping vibes! 😂
Okay, I feel like this blog sees so much ACNH content on my weekly wrap-ups and I’m truly sorry for spamming you with it 🤣
I feel like I’ve been retreating hard into the game because work has been so. incredibly. stressful lately and it’s getting to the point that it’s affecting my reading (because I don’t feel like reading at the end of every tiring day). I hate when it gets like this but gaming has definitely been a great escape! I can’t believe that it’s already DECEMBER next week, can you?! This month has seriously got away from me! 🤣
I’m actually drawing a blank when I think about all the books I’ve read this week. I’ve got a lot going on in my current reads list but it seems like I’ve finished a bit fat ZERO number of books. Welp! 😓 This seems to be a bit of a recurring theme this month and I don’t even know how many books I’ve managed to read… But considering that it’s already the end of November, I guess we’ll find out soon enough when I make my monthly wrap-up next week! It also occurred to me that although I felt like I was visiting other blogs, it turns out I haven’t really done much at all this week! It truly feels as if my brain is on another planet–quite a foggy one at that!

TRACK HIGHLIGHT
I don’t listen to a lot of Little Mix but I’ve been really into this song this week! It’s such a pop beat but I do love the lyrics and it’s so happy! This lyric video is a lot though but considering their latest album is called Confetti, it’s no surprise!
🎶 “i was searching for happiness // i was using you to fill up my loneliness // realised from the moment i set you free // i found the love, i found the love in me” 🎶
I hope you’ve all had a good weekend and that you have a great week ahead! Take care of yourselves and of each other, friends 🖤
Sorry to hear that work has been so stressful. 😦 I’m heading into a busy time at the office and I’m not looking forward to it. That goodness for the escape pf books… and in your case, Animal Crossing. 🙂

Thanks, Tanya. I hope work doesn’t get too awful for you either but work stress is such a pain! 🙈 Makes me look forward to the end of December already but also… I know time is going to zoom by which is just going to add more stress for all the things that need to get done by year end! Haha… Oh well, I hope books (and Animal Crossing 😉) can help carry us through to the end! Have a fab week ahead ❤️

Ooh, I really hope they enjoy it! It’s such a fun (and most of the time relaxing!) game that has helped me so much this year lol I also really love the community there as well since everyone is just as friendly as on here!

It is SO MUCH FUN. So addictive! I kinda wanna go back and play the older version of the game (at least New Leaf) but lol New Horizons already eats up a stupidly large number of hours in my week it’s probs best I don’t! 😂 Hope you had a great week too, Lisa!

New Leaf was the last one I played, it was a lot of fun, but I think you can do a lot more with New Horizons from what I understand. 🙂
